So 5
weeks later.
Tazmanian
Devils, Vox
Via, Kelly
Peterson, The
White Hill School African Drum Ensemble,
Beaufunk,
Joe
New and the Crowhoppers.. Check
Bonnie Hayes clip done waiting feedback.
Chrome Johnson clip done waiting feedback.
Still to come Dorrie Green.
Looks unlikely....
Two great performances the Riverside Kings and
Chuck's Chilluns'. The audio is way too hot the sound
recording off the board gel's a unanimous thumbs down
from the musicians who have heard it.
That just might be about it as far as the
documenting goes of this, my favorite festival of the
year every year goes.
Kelly
Peterson video clip is online at You tube go there
and maybe say something positive if you are so moved.
She has quietly emerged as one of the bright new lights
of this continuing very sweet and fertile Music Scenes
in America. The Fairfax Scene.
3 bars in a small town with live music 7 nights a week.
Plus a musical heritage going back to the 60's and more.
The Tazmanian Devils they were awesome. It was
about 1977 or 1978 that the food co-op where I used to
work put on there first of a number of "benefits'
it was a natural that the Tazmanian Devils would play.
They were the band of the local scene just
trying for that boost up and out into greater renown.
Like a lot of bands that were so close and never quite
got that ticket up to stardom or at least the one big
hit. Anyways they were a blast from the past and seemed
like they had gotten even hotter than I remembered from
years back.
Chrome
Johnson played another gig last night opening up
for the Supersuckers at 19 Broadway. Chrome
Johnson the flame is still alive. It was a very strong
set.. rough and off a little at first finishing up
strong all the power tunes, for the most part. Yeah I
miss Josh. Jonathan Korty adds some real nice keys that
helps the music... its just different.
I caught The Wild Magnolias at the Marin County
Fair they were a revelation. Awesome. I didn't bring any
cameras I knew that whenever I do that I am going to be
wishing otherwise but so be it. Awesome New Orleans
Rock.. New Orleans is on my must visit list.. with
camera.
This weekend Albert Lee is playing at Rancho
Nicasio with Vikki Lee.
Vikki's
Pinecones are a great band
as you all should know by now, now out of Sacramento, at
one time her band was out of San Anselmo and they were a
great band then. Now she's hanging with Albert Lee.
Great career move maybe more bands should think about ..
the move to Sack a mentos.
Yes I started
going to the well of You Tube a few weeks ago and I am
not about to stop soon. Right now I have no plans to
shoot any more Rock Video anytime soon. Please submit
your own Videos humans. I will give them serious
Bandlands exposure.
